*these are in no way necessary. they are only some of my fun little headcanons I have for him. sorry for being cringe.

° Grimsley was born the second son of a wealthy family from Nimbasa City. Their first son being Franklin, the father of Piers and Marine. Francesca was their mother’s name and she played a huge role in Grimsley life. She was the precious daughter of a powerful mob boss, who would eventually become that organization's leader. Their grandfather would die of natural causes around Grim’s age of thirteen.

° Their family’s speciality are dark types. You could say Grimsley had a natural talent with them. His first Pokemon was a Purrloin from his mother.

° Both Grimsley and Franklin’s father(s?) was never around. He’ll never know anything about his biological father considering his mother took that to the grave. Not that he particularly cares.

° Francesca was a very lonely, controlling woman. Having wanted so much out of Frankie and never got it. The older son rebelled badly, leading her to disown him. However, the happy family was far past broken. The majority of Grimsley’s young life was spent in a sexual relationship with his mother behind the doors of their mission. Starting as early as twelve.

° His mother was quite fond of him. Her *favorite*. It made him somewhat like her pet.

° As Grimsley grew older he became very addicted to gambling. Using her various fake ID’s to get into casinos once the family moved out west. His mother was unable to take the streets of Nimbasa City with the “loss” of her son and father. Anything to get him out of the house and get the blood pumping.

° When Grimsley turned eighteen a vasectomy was performed on him. Orchestrated by his mother. He remains infurtal.

° Before her death, dating was out of the question. He’d been very few people before the age of twenty five. Anyone he grew close to ended up going missing…

° His personality shaped to give him a very cynical perspective. Oddly enough, he can still find the good in people. Often they just don’t know how good they really have it. We need to take what we can get.

° Francesca’s empire was starting to crumble as her mental health started to deteriorate. The pill popping had finally eaten her brain. The number of people she’d end up owning would follow Grimsley for the rest of his life. After his life was offered in exchange for hers, Grimsley went to the source himself and made a deal. It’s what led to her death at the top of their tower…

° After her death, he went underground for two years. Only really contacting her lawyer and Franklin eventually. He mostly drank, gambled and avoided the people looking for him during this time. It wasn’t till Adler found him--one thing led to another, and his skills with dark types landed him an amazing job at the Pokemon League.

° On the streets he’s known as “Gimma” // his family used fake names for business.

° He’s a massive slut now. Anything over the age of twenty--he’ll flirt with you. Men, women, whoever. The repressed trauma comes out in slut energy. He can’t commit either. This is purely for pleasure.

° Grimsley took over the care of Piers and Marine after their parents' death. However, they only stayed with him for a little while before Piers took himself and Marine back to Galar. It worked out that way. He still checks up on them, and typically spends holidays with them.
